Faith in Action

For the past several years our church has consistently prayed two prayers:

• "God, what do You want to do through me for Your church?"
• "God, how can I help to grow Your church?"

Dozens of opportunities arise each day, but we often overlook them or choose to ignore them.
If you are interested in serving the Lord, please pray one or both of the prayers listed above, then consider joining one of the ministries below.

• Nurture Ministries
• If you know of someone in our congregation who might need some assistance (meals, transportation, visits) because of an illness, surgery, new baby, etc., please contact Judy Dyke (355-2647) or Judy Walker (355-2108) or the pastor (353-8870)
• Help deliver meals once per month to our home-bound parishioners from our church dinners (Ham Potpie, potlucks, funeral dinners). If you would like to serve as a “buddy” and deliver food to a member who cannot get out, please contact Judy Walker.
• Prayer Ministry (Pray alone, with Prayer Partners, anytime, all the time, any place, every place)

• Walking Ministry (Meet at the Wingate Elementary School 6:00 pm Mondays and Wednesdays)
• Choir (Meet in the Sanctuary 7:00 pm Wednesdays)
• Thursday Prayer Breakfast (Meet in the church parking lot at 7:30 am Thursdays--eat at one of several restarants, depending on week)

• Thursday Morning Work Group ("Carpenter's Disciples"--Meet at the church to do odd jobs around the grounds and community 9:00 am Thursdays)

• Thursday Release-Time Escorts accompany children to and from Elementary School next door for Release Time Classes

• Movie (followed by Coffee & Discussion -- Times TBA)
